BASS Elite event questions

Featured Replies

I was hoping that some folks who have attended some BASS Elite tournament events might be able to answer a few questions for me.

I am thinking about attending the Elite event at Lake Dardanelle in June, but not having attended an event before I don't know what to expect. Is there an expo of sorts? Vendors to buy lures? I am also curious if Elites who don't make the 3rd day cut leave or do they stick around and represent vendors and such?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

There are vendors but very limited product to actually buy, more of just like a show. You do get to meet a lot of pros though and after cut day the ones that are sponsored by the vendors with booths at the weigh in will usually be hanging around the booths. I went to Table Rock a few years ago and got to talk to several of the pros as well as Mark Zona, it was really enjoyable.

Yes to products. I renewed my BASS membership 5 years that day a got a t-shirt, jersey and a hooded sweatshirt with that enrollment length. That was more worthwhile to me than the lures or the DVD they might send you. Like mentioned above the pros are very accessible. Also I would consider finding out where they are leaving there boats prior to the weigh ins. A lot of times either the pros are being interviewed on camera or just talking to their families or fellow anglers and you can learn a ton just listening. Yes it worth it.

Your favorite pros might even take the time to get a picture with you :)

Thanks guys. I really appreciate the information. I will be staying in Oklahoma for a month or so and was milling around the idea of taking the 4 hour drive to experience the tournament. Really hope that I can make it work.
