Co angler question

Featured Replies

Hey guys so as I'm sure everyone else on here I have way to much tackle to keep in one tacklebox. I am a co angler and I have plastic tub filled with plastics just changed it to this recently so I'm trying to figure out how to get it to the boat and not have to take the whole tub or all my plastics. thanks

Just get a tackle bag or regular duffel bag that you can put some boxes in and some soft plastic bags.  Easy to carry and should allow you to bring everything you need for that day.

You should be able to thin the herd a bit.

If you consider the time of year, temps, water clarity, etc  you should be able to leave some tackle at home

The duffle bag is a good idea didn't think of that hawkeye21 and thank you NHBull

i use an under amour bag i can fit 6 plano 3700's plus the side pockets which have my spinner bait box

you could also go this route which holds 7 3700's and i think you should be able to have most of the stuff you need in 7 3700's

As a guest I carry a small back pack that holds three Plano trays and has two side pockets.  One box is nothing but spinner baits and buzz baits.  Side pockets get plastics, hooks and weights. The other two depend on how were planning to fish.  I also try to carry no more than three rods if fishing out of someone else's boat.

I try to have one tackle bag, my 5 rods and a personal item normally my backpack.  I have way more stuff and rods than this but at times even this becomes unmanageable.  Your personal bag should fit your rain gear, jackets drinks and anything else like sunscreen that you may need.  I use a 3700 tray empty to keep plastics that i may need on top of any puches in the bag.  No reason to bring any thing close to all you have.
