That's what my brother and I do - and sunblock is quite a bit cheaper than a new wardrobe for fishing.

Sunscreens are a scam. Cover up if your concerned about sun exposure.

Since I have had skin cancer removed, I take it very serious. I wear a hat with a large brim and a flap that hangs down in the back to protect the neck along with sunglasses. I also wear Huk shirts, which is very comfortable and gloves.

Cabelas has a thin, balaclava that I wear. I also have, Simms hood and Gilz face mask. Cabelas also has sun gloves with leather strips on the palm, which I thought were the best sun gloves. I can't find anymore though. I saw another glove with leather palm, but I don't remember brand. Cabelas also had a glove with soft grip.

 

i haven't tried the Simms gloves where the palm is cut out. They might be good.

 

Shirts — I wear a Columbia short sleeve Omni freeze with separate sun sleeves. I go this route because you get ventilation up the sleeve. Sun sleeves can be found for a few dollars on a popular auction site.

 

Thin Columbia pants are good to keep your legs sun free.

The charcoal color is perfect for work also.  I also bought up some Columbia blood and guts, but haven't worn them yet.

I have rosacea so it is an absolute MUST I have the expensive sunscreen (titanium and zinc powder, not chemical sunblock) or a buff. 

 

I usually wear a hooded Huk shirt, hat, sunglasses, buff or sunscreen, and light Under Armour pants. 

Can't stand anything around my face but I have a hat with flaps all around my head, neck, lite weight Columbia shirt and pants, and when it's really hot and we want to relax in the shade, a sun top for our boat. best thing we bought for it.

 

Cabela's hooded sun shirt with the hook stretched over the brim of a lightweight ballcap.  I will add a buff if it's really bright out, but the deep hood and big beard work surprisingly well, my neck never even really gets tan.  I will wear tights under the shorts when I am in my yak, but I just hose on sunblock if I am on foot.  I kinda want to get gloves next, i burned the backs of my hands a little this spring.
