Plano Waterproof box for Soft Plastics

Featured Replies

Wondering if anyone is using the Plano Waterproof boxes to store soft plastics. Seems like they would keep the scent sealed in and preserve better than the regular boxes. I like the idea of keeping everything organized in the clear boxes. Plus it would keep everything from getting bent up.

I use a sealed box as one of my four in my bag to keep plastics.  The main reason is to keep it from making a huge pile and stay organized but keeping things from being bent up like my fluke tails is a second reason...

Yea thats what I was thinking too. Keeping the flukes straight in the pack is a pain. And my Roboworms don't even come in a sealed bag anyway. My friend started keeping his Keitechs in one and they are as fresh as the day he got them.

I don't have a boat so in my bag I have a separate  box for....Stick worms, Swim baits and Creature baits.

Nice. I think Im going to give it a go. Im going to keep the scented stuff like Keitech,Missle etc in the waterproof box and the rest in some 3601 boxes and see what happens.

Or leave them in their bags and just buy a plastic bin to keep them in

Wally world for maybe $5

Same here, I use 3600 size Plano box no separate for my day box for any pre-tie lure/jig and trailer swimbait etc that I'm gonna use that day, plus another 3600 for plastic in its own bag mostly z-man stuff.

Waterproof boxes seem pretty good, except sometimes condensation results.  Also, I dislike canvas bags that allow water to penetrate, even after I have sprayed them with silicone.

Plano has just come out with a new Rustrictor box. It is infused with some sort of rust inhibitor to keep your hooks from rusting.
