Your favorite finesse swimbait head?

Featured Replies

All the jigheads I own are too big. Im looking for a jighead for 2.75" or 2.8" swimbaits like the Rage Swimmer. what do you all use?

side note: I'm hoping to find one with a relatively short shank and pretty stout.

Thanks!

The owner ultrahead is an awesome jighead for small keitechs. 1/8 is the lightest they make.

Oukast tackle makes a 1/16oz head with a small, stout hook if you need something lighter. "Money Jig".

I've never seen that Owner Ultrahead Finesse Ball before and that looks perfect for grubs and finesse worms. I do like Charlie Brewer Spider Proheads for Zoom swimin' flukes

Personally, I would recommend a Storm 360GT jighead in 1/8 oz.  colors are nice and the internal rattle gives it a nice, yet subtle perk. I like the combo by itself , despite what others have said, but now they are finally releasing just the standalone jigheads mid-summer. Just in time grab those paddle tails and burn this fall.

DOA makes a range of short-shank jigheads from like 1/16 to 1oz.

Keitech Super Round Tungsten Jig heads I use 1/16 #1 with a 3" Keitech Swing Impact swimbait for my finesse swimbait action

I'm hoping to find at least a 2/0 hook. Size #1 is tiny when you're dealing with jumping smallmouths.
