How to turn trolling motor head?

Featured Replies

Got this new mini kota edge trolling motor. But when I went to mount it when it is facing the way it is in the picture it puts major stress on the wires coming out of motor going to pedal. My old one was parallel to boat rather than facing straight down like this. How do I turn the head of this so that it is parallel? Thanks..

Check your manual. My Fortrex has big knob just under the head that you can loosen to rotate the head.

I believe there's a little screw on the collar, should be on the backside of the head. Not positive though as I have a Maxxum instead of an Edge.

Loosen the knob on the mount. This will allow the shaft to rotate inside the breakaway part of the  mount.

Thanks guys. There were 3 screws under head once taken out I could turn it.
