R2S Chris Lane Top Notch, Big Mistake, and Lane Changer

Featured Replies

Anyone else see these?  Looks like they were put out at iCast but Chris used the Top Notch up at Champlain this past week with pretty good success.  Top Notch looks like a Whopper Plopper with a double blade on the back, the Big Mistake has two double blades one in front and one in back, and the Lane Changer is a skinny version of the Big Mistake.  R2S really trying to cash in on this Whopper Plopper craze.

Interesting and can't blame them due to the massive success of the plopper. Have to admit... the first time I saw what would become the whopper plopper was years ago on a show with Larry Dahlberg making a custom one and then fishing it somewhere in the Amazon. I thought it was cool for those fish but it didn't even cross my mind as a potential bass bait. Oops.

Whopper Plopper is modern version of a 1930's musky lure called Wards Mud Puppy.

Those look more like standard prop baits than the WP. I like the looks of the Top Notch and Lane Changer.
