Megabass Orochii XX Guides?

Featured Replies

I'm seriously thinking of getting an Orochii XX Flatside special for jerkbaits and topwater. Does the rod come with micro guides? Does the entire line-up of Orochii XX rods come with micro guides?

The entire xx line uses the same guides which aren't true micros. They are larger than micros.

I'm not sure what constitutes a 'true' micro guide, but the xx rods have micro guides imo. After the first two guides they get pretty dang small. Still no problems passing a braid/leader knot though.

Thanks bigturtle and rippin-lips. My concern was how a braid/leader knot would pass through the guides.

"Micro" is used to describe guides <size 6 (6mm ID of ring not insert). A 4 or 4.5 will pass most any leader knots on a bass rig.

Thanks.
