Hey guys,

My truck was broken into last night and they messed with my new boat a bit...so now I'm thoroughly paranoid.

I have a MasterLock Coupler Lock....but I'm wondering how else do you guys secure your trailer?  It's in my driveway but I'd like to be reasonably sure they aren't going to take my boat and run.  Any ideas?

If you have a coupler lock so they can't get it off your hitch and/or onto theirs, I'd say that's about the best you can do.  You might try some motion sensors inside the boat that go off when the beam is disturbed.  Take your electronics off the boat if leaving it outside and either take your tackle indoors with you or make sure all your compartments are locked.  There's a gizmo called a Lock'R Bar that you might want to look at.

Jack it up and take one wheel off.  It will look a little tacky and be a little inconvenient but it won't go anywhere.

Lock your hitch also. i run a heavy chain through all my wheels also with a big $%#^ing lock. Also cover the boat. Place sign that states boat is protected my 7mm w/ night vision scope or protected by ferocious

i have this lock thing that goes into where the ball goes and the lock that goes through the handle to lock in the ball also.

The sad thing is if they want it they will get it.

keep it the boat in the garage and lock the door.

Take pictures of the boat , trailer , gear on the boat BTW dont leave gear in the boat.  Take pics of the HVN

and engine numbers. Jet pump etc.....

I always heard people steal props also so remove it and lock it up.
