Awesome! St Croix is a great company and make great products. Just try a couple different reels and see what you like regarding balance.

    St. Croix Avid or Shimano Zodias would be my vote.

That’s the plan ! I wish shimanos had external breaking , I know they do on higher stuff but the nobs never feel right , very stiff. But I’ve never casted one sooo we shall see what I do
