Ranger Trailer hub components

Featured Replies

Anyone have any advice or suggestions on where to buy components for the Ranger Trail oil bath hubs?  Or maybe more specifically does anyone know the bearing and seal specs for 2000 model 520vx hubs?  I've already drained and filled the oil in my hubs, but it appears that one of the hubs is leaking in the back seal, so I'm going to need to change out components.  Thanks for any help!

Good point Glen, and thank you for the advice.  With that said, I'm aware that is definitely a route to take, but wanted to check to see if anyone else had experience with the question and may have a cheaper alternative.  Typically dealerships price gouge.  If someone, from previous experience, already knew the parts needed, I may be able to buy them online cheaper.

Pull the hub. There will be numbers on the seal. Numbers could be stamped on the metal or molded into the rubber itself. Numbers should cross easily on google or etrailer.com Seals run between $2 and $7 a piece depending on where you buy them from. Or, do what glen said. Your Ranger dealer should be able to figure out what parts based on the trailer vin. There parts department should sell you the parts regardless if they make the repairs or not.
