Jig 60 and 90 hooks application

Featured Replies

Can anyone help me. I have found a box full of different Jig 60 and 90 Gamakatsu hooks. What would be the use for these? There are a lot of different types, but looks like most are "round bend."

It does not seem to to have a design for plastic worms like the offset shank worm EWG that is with the senkos.

I am trying to organize a large collection so any help is appreciated.

They're used in molds to pour jigheads. You might be able to use them if you buy some screwlock keepers though. Just clip onto the eye of the hook and screw on the plastic of your choice.

Thank you sir! That makes sense. He made a lot of the baits in the collection. I greatly appreciate the help.

Arkie style jigs use 60 degree hooks and football, round or ball and dart head style jigs use 90 degree hooks.

If you measure the wire diameter and add a photo of the various hooks we can identify the hooks.

Gamakatsu jig hooks are high quality and BR members may want to purchase them.
