The cost of fishing?

I'm trying not to loose any lure or plastic, every time I lost one or two, I end up bought 10 or more. Talking about cheap hobby, huh.

Yes I make myself leave most my $ at home before gearing up. And my friends don't get why they don't get to throw my 12$ crankbaits

I don't consider $ spent on booze, cigars and hookers wasted. Eye of the beholder.

Nothing wrong with that either, I may disagree but this is America.

We only live once guys. It's an awesome hobby, spend as much as you can comfortably afford!

What really kills it are all the color options.  I have 10 kvd 1.5 cranks.  Why I just went overboard.  I plan to switch to a 4 color system and keep to it. Hard baits a clear, blugill, shad, and crome.  Soft plastics black blue green pumpkin watermelon and junebug.  Anything more is just overkill

I figure it's a lot cheaper than the divorce attorney and alimony I would spend if I didn't have fishing to get me out of the house.

I have really gotten over the bait monkey the last couple years. I don't feel the need to have the latest and greatest rods and reels anymore. I went to BPS a few weeks ago and bought just 1 crankbait to replace one I lost. There was a time that would have been at least a $200 trip.

LOL My ex-wife once said "maybe you shouldn't fish so much".  She's my ex-wife.

How much is rest, relaxation, and getting away from it all for a little while worth?
