Anybody toss these and have any feedback? They have a good perch and gill colors I think would do well for me. I have had some luck with the Strike King baby king shad that is about the same size. Next year I want to work some with swimbaits but don't want to spend a ton of money on one specific bait. If we had world record bass swimming in our waters I could justify it, but we have world record Musky around here waiting to steal them lol. 

 

The other bait I was thinking of was the 25 size SPRO rat, but the price is a little more than I want to pay for one bait. 

I have not thrown them since the cooler weather hit, but in late Summer when I first got them they were an awesome bait around boat docks & wood. I had a little luck over grass, but not as much a I did with hard cover.

 

I like to burn them for smallmouth over shallow rock flats. Also caught a bunch of big white bass and wipers, but have yet to catch a largemouth on one.

Topwater may be coming to a slow here, but do not hesitate yo buy a spro rat. I suggest 40 size. I was hesitant too and prior to buying on i had never spent that much on one lure and just couldnt understand the need. So i saved up and took a chance. I figured it floats so better odds of getting it back if it broke off. Let me tell you....it may be my favorite lure. I cant wait to buy a size 50 and try that. The action of that rat is crazy good. Let me contradict myself a bit. If i could go back in time i would probably save a little more and splurge on a ms slammer. That is a cant miss lure. A loy of these more expensive lures are made with quality in mind and last. Do your homework. There are good brands and cheaper brands. Keeping your cast out of the woods and tieing good knots will go a long way to keeping these lures for a long time
