Opinions on Pro Craft boats...

Featured Replies

Well.... The title says it all. I want y'alls opinion on the ProCraft line of bass boats. Mainly the 200 and 210 Super Pro SC. I just can't fork over the money on a Ranger or Triton and I've found same year models for thousands cheaper. I like the way they look, and all the storage features they offer. I've also owned an OLD Procraft fish and ski boat that rode really well. Just give me some likes and dislikes on the Super Pro line. Like how does it ride, the fishability, etc....

I don't think that they are as good as the older models.  They are owned by the same guy who owns Kenner, Tracker, Fisher, and Nitro.  Normally, it seems that quality goes down when he takes over.

I haven't ridden in any of the newer ones but I have heard that they are slow.

MY opinion.

Two guys in my club fish Pro Craft.  They are both very happy with them.

I spent a couple of hours in one of them a couple of weeks ago, it was a nice boat, but I didn't care for the floorplan and storage layout all that much.

Have you looked at Stratos?

They're a subsidiary of Tracker Marine. Take that for what it's worth.  Not sure if they're still built in Tennessee or not.  Bill Dance has been on their ProStaff for years, Grigsby was as well.

I don't really know much else.

I've been looking at a bunch of used boats anywhere from 00' or 01' and up... Trying to find one 20 to 21 foot. With a 200+hp motor. I really can't go above 18K, maybe 19K, but I can't hardly find a ranger or triton with in that price range.. That's what got me looking at ProCraft, Stratos, etc.... I'm still looking to find a deal on ranger or triton though. I've ridden, and fished out of both and reallly like the way they both perform... I'm just going to keep looking... Thanks for your opinions.....

Didn't he just take over recently?? I'm looking for a used boat not a new one, around 00', 01', 02' etc... When did this guy take over???

At least 5 years ago.  A bud of mine ran into a guy with a 22' PC / 225 and it would only do 55 at WOT.  He was really pizzed because my friends little 15' would run as fast.

That "guy" is Johnny Morris.  The company is Tracker Marine group.  They also purchased Mako and SeaCraft SW boats along with Kenner.  Procraft was purchased from Brunswick (Mercury Marine) sometime in the late 90's to the early 00's.
