Virginia Peeps

Just a heads up to any of my fellow Virginia peeps who might be interested in learning about Gary Yamamoto Custom Baits and what they offer.  I have been asked to spend some time in Hookers Tackle at 7828 Richmond Road Toano, VA on the 23rd of December from 8 till noon.  You never know, I might just have free samples of new baits and old favorites.  It's nothing formal, just a Q&A and some of my experience with the line of plastics I've been fishing for 20 years.  It might just be worth your time to stop in if you are in the area.  ^_^

That's about 35 minutes from me!

Given the proximity to Xmas, not sure my wife would let

me go (family holiday party), but if I can swing by, I will!

About an hour from my home in Richmond but I doubt I will make it unless the weather is nice and all my "honey do's" are done for Christmas and the family that following Monday.

Hope to make it.

P.S. Do you have any of the 958's, Smoked Shad color???

Bummer, I am in Chesterfield and you are 1 1/2 hrs away, if it wasn't so close to Christmas I would make the trip. Gary Yamamoto 100 and 200 Chikara hard baits are my favorite cranks. I just ordered 8 from Field and Stream as they are having a sale ion them, once they are gone I am told by the Yamamoto they are gone. I have found some on ebay so I am trying to stock up.

It sad as they are huge fishing attracting baits for me.

If i happen to be able to get out fishing at Diascund that day, maybe i'll swing by....

It's the preparation for the party!

Wife has long list of things needing to be done

before everyone arrives. And since we have boys,

none of it can be done early, since it will all be

messed up and dirty again before the party.

:cleaning: And yes, the boys get put to work, too.

If any of y'all have sons, you understand :D

Not to worry, if this goes off fairly well, I will be back for additional appearances.  This shop supposedly has a very large selection of Yamamoto baits.  I am also going to be in the Cabela's in Gainsville, VA this summer and will keep updates.

If we have ice I don't think I will make it to Toano.

Hope not, but the forecast is "iffy" at this time.

If you have to be at Hookers please keep an eye on the weather.

From Dave at Wxrisk.com:

***ALERT !! ** IS THERE AN ICE STORM **THREAT ** FOR THE TENN VALLEY/ MIDDLE ATLANTIC REGION DEC 24-25 ?

The updated new edition of the NEXT 3 WEEKENDS Newsletter in now on line with NEW information on long CHRISTMAS weekend DEC 22-26 forecast... TOPICS - No problem this weekend.... 50s likely in many areas for DEC 18-21-- Strong cold front arrives DEC22 with some rain then it turns colder... but How cold? Models don't show temps cold enough for Frozen precip in WVA VA MD DEL VA DEC 24-25 but the Upper pattern is 'screaming' ice storm-- colder and stormy right through New Years long weekend as well...

TOXIC, bad weather getting close to the 23rd. Could arriver earlier or later. Just giving you a heads up. Be careful if you drive to Toano on the 23rd.

WEATHER NOTIFICATION !!! 60s ON DEC 25 IN VA NC 50s over MD DEL? BALONEY!!!!

as I have been saying for 3 days during the long Christmas weekend temps over Mid Atlantic will drop sharply DEC 23-24-25-26 and with this sharp drop in temps the chances are going up for seeing snow and or ice on Christmas day.

Awesome!!  Plenty of samples to give out.

Not sure I will make it (family party preps notwithstanding),

I have wife approval to fish, if time allows, given the lovely

temps predicted for Saturday.

So we'll see what happens. I'd love to swing up there if poss.

Merry Christmas.

It was nice to meet you and your friends, Thank you for the free baits.
