Started the day at 21 degrees, I thought the low was 31........ anyhow we got 8-9 smallmouth and a big Striper broke my line! Fishing 2.5 inch gulp minnows on 1/8 oz jig heads. And one fish hit a tube. Water temp was 55

Very nice! Love cold water smallies. Did you try a blade bait at all? I've found them to be extremely enticing to cold water bass - and most other species.

I tried it literally all day with no bites. With the water at 55 my guess is that it's not quite cold enough yet for it here
