anyone have a service manual for a 1989 60 horse outboard lying around???

I really do not want to pay $36 just to have a question answered...LOL!

Brand of said outboard might be of help.

Sometimes you can find those older manuals on ebay for about half price.  Even at $36 for the OEM factory manual, that's about the cheapest thing you will buy for it and it will pay you back many times over.   The OEM service manual is the first thing I buy for any outboard motor and vehicle I own.   Those cheaper after market manuals give you just enough info to get you in trouble most of the time.

except that while mechanically INCLINED...I have no INCLINATION to be a mechanic.

I have the CLYMER Evinrude/Johnson 48-235 hp 1973-1990 book (including sea drives). It is not for sale but if you send me a pm and tell me what you are looking for in it. I will scan the pages and e-mail them to you if you are just trying to fix a current problem.
