  1. I would love to pick some bugs out from my teeth behind that wheel. Congrats!
  2. SK, I have the 170 on my front Tm and it serves it's purpose. The only thing I don't like about it is the screen size which is to small. I don't need all the bell's and whistles. I have a friend who the 190 color at the wheel the color makes it confusing for me to watch but he likes it. Once again screen is a little to small. But for the cost their not to bad.

  7. could someone link me to a thread or advice on what type of paint and prep work I might need to do to paint the inside of the gas tank/bilge pump area? I have a lot of spider web cranks and holes (from screws) that need to be filled. I cleaned the area with Simple Green but the fiber glass(?) still has an oily feel to it. Is there an offical name to this area. Thanks Guys.
  8. I was out yesterday and had the boat to almost wot when the rpms shot up, I shut her down and started it back up. Now I'm unable to go more than 1200 rpms. It almost sounds as if you had your foot on a clutch and you were reving the gas. Thoughts?Besides taking a second morgage on the house.

  12. Just wondering if anyone could give me an idea on what it should cost to have these seats reupholsterd? I had two qoutes of about 500-600 for driver and passenger sides. It seemed a little high but maybe thats average.
  13. I'll try to explain this as best as possible. I have an Mk Edge #40. with the directional arrow pointing forward 12 o'clock, and the foot control being level I toe down all the way to the deck to turn right I'm only turning slightly to about 1 or 2 o'clock to go any futhure I have heel down spin the arrow counter clock wise until it reaches 1 or 2. Does this make sence? Thoughts?

  17. Wow! That's a huge question. First off everyone here could wright a 3 page paper on the pro's and con's of boat's. Ask your self how much money do I really want to spend on a boat? Than go to the internet and start surfing for boats in that price range and see what you can get. Used is probably the way to go they drop in value pretty quick.
  18. Agreed! It was the best money I've spent for my boat. Hole shot has improved drasticaly and porposing is nearly gone. Dol-Fin at the the local Gander Mtn.I think people are hesitant to put them because of the drilling you have to do on the motor.
  19. Welcome Back! Check out NCAngler.com you will find all info. you seek.
  20. Carpet, it cut backl on the dings and scrathes that would show up on paint and maybe even make the boat a little more quite.
  21. Give Ranger a call I bet they can. Search the internet they can be made by anyone. I had mine made for a store in town for 6.00.
  22. I'm just north of High Rock but never have fished it before, sorry. Try going to NCAngler.com you will more than enough info on the lake.
  23. As SB23 said you should have two little holes near the V-notch where the lower unit rests. A black rubber bungee cord straped around it should take care of it turning.
  24. save your self some cash and buy a used boat and neither one is better. Buy a Ranger you'll be happy you did.
  25. Look on NCAngler.com and all your questions will be answerd for you. Enjoy your vaction I'll be down there in a couple of months save some fish me.
