I’m looking for a new casting rod for all around use around a 7ft MH. I was thinking about either a Dobyns Fury, a St Croix Mojo Bass, or a G Loomis E6X which I could get for around $110 with the varsity shimano program. Can anyone give me some insight to which rod performs the best? I’m open to other rods too if you have suggestions. Thanks

Any of those rods will work fine, it's really going to come down to a matter of personal preference on which one is "best". A rod that feels good in my hands may not feel right to you. If you can get to a store where you can handle them would be your best option.

Lets turn this question around a bit.

Is this your first baitcasting rig? You already said it is for general purpose and that is good info.

What lures do you prefer to fish with the most? What weight lures.

I fish some G Loomis rods and I love them. They are all either IM6 or IMX versions. Great rods. I have not fished with one of the E6 versions so I can not comment too much on that lineup, sorry.

Lately my preference in rods has been rods from Dobyns, Powell and Irod. For your needs I would look at a Dobyns Fury FR 734C. It is a workhorse rod for sure.

In a Powell I would look at a 723 or 683 Max 3D. I own an original Max 683 CEF and that is the most versatile rod in my arsenal of 14 baitcasters.  Go read the Tackle Tour review on that rod. The 723 is basically the same rod in a 7'2" length.

Have you thought about what reel you will match this rod up with?

My suggestion would be a Daiwa Tatula CT or one of the other Tatula family reels. I sold off a lot of my other reels as soon as I got my first Daiwa Tatula.

my absolute favorite "all-around" rod that i own is a 6"10" MHF daiwa tatula from the first series of those rods.  bought it for about $100 and it competes with most of my higher end rods and is easily the best "all around" rod i've used, a second close is my dobyns DX 703, but the tatula beats that one easily.

My general purpose rod is a 7' MH fast Mojo. I use it for almost everything in the 3/8 to 1oz range. The rod is highly sensitive and lightweight, and feels amazing in my hands. Some say the mojo lineup are heavy rods, I don't agree with that. I can't speak to the other rods you mentioned, but I have 3 rods in the mojo lineup now and love every one of them.

Haven't used the others, but I love the Mojo rod that I use.  It is my favorite.

Get the E6X 843C MBR, great action for an all around rod.

I haven't used one yet, but I have watched quite a few videos showing off Favorite Rods.  The Defender is only $99.00.  I'm about to pull the trigger on one to test it out.

I can't help you with the other brands but I was new to fishing in 2017 and my first baitcaster happened to be a St. C Premier 6'6" M/F and it has become my favorite all-around rod. Part of that might be due to the fact that St C seems to be a little heavier than their rating, so the M/F is more like a M/F to MH/F, which happens to suit my style for freshwater small/largemouth. I would not use this rod for panfish. There's only so much that an "all around" rod can do. One thing that I really like about it (PC66MF, or PC66MF2 in 2-piece) is that it's rated for a wide range of lure weights: 1/4 oz to 3/4 oz, which helps the versatility factor. Typical price is about $100.

I also own the Mojo Bass 6'8" MH/F which is probably my second fave bass rod. Maybe a little stuff for general purpose use; if I had to have just one it would be the 6'6 M/F, but we're getting into "depends on your style" territory here.
