Hello. This February am going down to Florida for vacation. I am new to peacock bass fishing and know nothing about them. I rented a house down in Florida that has a canal in the backyard. I need help picking out lures I heard rapalas were good but what color? Any specific lure colors I should use? Thanks.

Every video I have seen has them caught on live bait.  

Small jerkbaits, crankbaits, and topwater. They will be on beds in Miami by February so small jigs and dropshot baits will work well too. Any color will work but the brighter varieties match local exotics.

I've only been once but caught almost all of mine on a white #8 X-rap.
