Let's settle this once and for all. Daiwa or Shimano for both spinning and baitcasting reels? No other brand.  If you wouldn't mind explaining why, that would be greatly appreciated.

It's in the low 20's. But we recently experienced a heat wave in the high 40's.

I think you need an outside recess.

Purely personal preference. I have had my eye on the Saltiga conventional reels though...

I like the Daiwa magsealed technology for spinning reels both salt water & fresh. Shimano gets the nod for both fresh & saltwater baitcast reels.
