Experience with the Plano 3600 Worm Stowaway?

Recommended Posts

Has anyone used the Plano 3600 Worm Stowaway?

Seems to me this would be perfect to store ned rigs in the side storage and Zinker Zs on the bag side, flip it over and have swimbait jigheads and bags of Skinny Dippers.  I thought this could work with a lot of different technique-tackle and associated plastics.  Perhaps even jigs and trailers.  But I'd like to hear from someone that has tried this particular storage out.  What SEEMS like a good idea isn't always such a good idea...like my first two marriages...

I was going to buy a couple of the 3700's but I read online from a bunch of people who bought and tried them. No one had anything good to say about them. Just passing along what I read.

I had 2 of them. I had 3 of the clips break on me,within a week. I wasnt rough on them. I got them just for neds, zinkers etc. I went back to my binder because it took up less space also.

Well that pretty much wraps it up.  Thanks very much.

It's gimmicky and not necessary, I have the 3700 worm box version and an open core box holds more, but you have to fumble through more bags to get to the bottom.

I have one for the same reason, to keep Zman stuff in the bags and to have some room for terminal tackle.  I keep my Ned stuff in small flyfishing boxes, so this one holds the larger plastics I use for shakyhead or t-rigs.  I like it, but it never really leaves the car as it's too bulky to carry with me.  I think next season I am going to re-stock it for kayak use as then then bulk will matter a lot less.

I carry a TON of Senkos in various sizes.  The box I pack for the day is this one:

One side holds full size Senko's and the other holds the smaller sizes.  Since I use Yamamoto plastics exclusively, I never, never store my terminal tackle with my plastics so I have a terminal box with multiple size Gamakatsu EWG hooks for everything from drop shot to swimbait.  I am still looking for a terminal tackle box that I don't crack within the first week of using it.

I feel like the smaller 3500 planos are much stronger then the larger ones, but that might just be the result of not being able to cram as much stuff into them.

I have tried to do that to some extent by splitting up my dropshot rigs (weights/hooks) , my shakeyhead rigs, and my worm weights into seperate boxes but it is a PITA keeping track of them.  Especially if I am jumping between boats.

Well, there are always Raaco boxes, but you might want to sit down before you look at the prices.
