This has been DEFINITIVELY answered by Gary Yamamoto Custom Bait Pro-Staff:

The baits are the same, except for some color variations, EXACTLY THE SAME.

But for your $2.00 less per bag, you get fewer baits per bag.  Correct me if I'm wrong.

Same bait - same factory - same price

The per unit price of the two baits is virtually the same.

for example the GYCB 5" Senko is packed 10 to the bag.

The Kinami Flash is packed 7 to the bag.

It seems incredible that with all the colors offered by GYCB that their are additional colors offered through Kinami, but alas tis true.

The baits are made with the same materials, in the same forumlation in the same factory.

My understanding is that Mr Yamamoto Jr.  wanted to market the family product in major retail outlets like Sears and K-mart etc.  But that Mr. Yamamto Sr. wanted to keep the baits "elite" by offering them only via the website and selected outlets.  It was decided that Derek would start Kinami and merchandise them through the large retailers which in fact was the case.  But you will notice that in many outlets you can buy either Kinami or GYCB but not both.

Gary has since come around.  his baits are available in Wal mart and at Bass pro shopps etc.  but this was not always the case.
