The state wants you to keep All bass  that  are 12 ins.Thats the max. but I fish  for the thrill of  just catching  plus everybody  I ask if they want  the fish - they want  ME to clean,  Than ain;t  happening !  if I give them to you  at  least you can clean  lol I understand the reasoning  behind  this  but   a 12 in. is  so  small don't know what  to  do  now.

12 and  smaller, can't keep anything over  12 in.

That seems odd. Good luck with it though. 

IMO: The little fish are wreaking havoc on the newly formed ecosystem. It is a kind of a slot limit, the 12" and less are in abundance so they are "encouraging" keeping them. There is a good video on this site about pond/fishery maintenance.

I went fishing there once in the summer and must have caught at least 30 12" or less. I pretty much stopped setting the hook on the obvious bites. Great place to teach someone how to use a plastic worm.    

 

It has been years and years since I've cleaned fish, but maybe it's time for a fish fry. Bout time i teach my girls also.  

You harvest the smaller bass to give the larger ones more forage to enjoy and grow.

 

If you want to ponder that philosophy, hit I-95 north at 7 AM and give yourself a few hours of restful pleasure sitting in traffic!!!!
