So Yall Want To Learn Toledo Bend?
I am not trying to be rude in any way, but... You do realize that you can view Bass Resource content without being a member, right? Anyone on the internet (as long as they are not blocked by admins) can view the information in this thread.

Hello from Central FL
That's cool! Do you fish the Clermont chain much? I hate that place!!! I live near the Harris Chain, so I fish it often too...but I am in a small bass club and tend to follow our little tourney trail.

Hello from Central FL
Welcome Anthony! What part of Central FL are you located? Where do you mainly fish?

Harris Chain Update
Harris Chain is actually fishing well right now. Good weights in the tournaments... I've heard of them being caught many different ways. I've been catching them lately on submerged vegetation with crankbaits, in anywhere from 5' - 8' of water.

Harris Chain Update
Harris chain has been tough lately...but usual lures and techniques work...when you can find the fish. You can drag a worm or flip the grass lines, or find you some offshore hydrilla...that has been pretty popular lately.

Guess the exact weight winner gets a prize.
Nice fish!! I say 10 lbs 2 oz

Took a puck to the mouth

Max wind you will go fish in?
I believe I asked this same question a few years back when I was fishing out of my tin. Back then, I definitely had a max wind thresh hold...and it was about 10 - 15 MPH...depending on the direction it was coming from. On the Harris Chain there are a few oblong / tall shaped lakes where an E or W wind is not bad but a N or S wind will kill you and vice versa. Just pay attention to the wind forecast, and try to plan accordingly. I usually also adjust my techniques based on the wind too...so it's a huge factor. Nowadays, the wind doesn't bother me too much. Won my first tournament in 25-30 MPH gusts in January...was pretty tough, but it can be done.

any lake chickamauga tips
Yeah, we are heading up tomorrow from FL and from everything I am reading, I am expecting somewhat tough conditions. Tough conditions is the norm down here, so it will be another walk in the park...but was hoping for a good week of fishing.

In this picture the sun is rising behind me and the shadow in the center of the photo is the infamous Citrus Tower here in Clermont Florida.

Boat issue
There should be no shame in asking him to move forward until you get on plane. Just let him know it makes it easier on your motor, and have him get up front so the ol' girl don't have to work so hard.

Double hull plastic jon boat?
Those older jon boats are great. I had a 1963 Richline that was made with thick aluminum and used WWII aircraft rivet technology. The thing was a flat out beast. They don't make them like that anymore...and to even come close...you have to really dig deep in the pockets.

Etiquette - Boats coming at each other on same shoreline.
I just try to respect someone out there with something (money) on the line; especially when I'm just out there to get a line wet. I think it boils down to treating others how I would want to be treated. I would appreciate it if someone gave me space or yielded to me if I were in a tournament, so I make sure I can do the same for someone else.

My fish of the year
Nice!!! Did you submit it to the Trophy Catch program?? Some pretty nice incentives.

Etiquette - Boats coming at each other on same shoreline.
As I stated in my first post in the thread: If I'm fun fishing, and I think they are in a tournament...I will always give them the right of way. I don't expect them to change their game plan because of me, and I want to have little to no impact on their fishing...out of respect. You made some very good points above. The other persons actions always have an effect on the situation...if they are rude and inconsiderate in their actions, they will probably get the same treatment in recourse.

Etiquette - Boats coming at each other on same shoreline.
Who said I would be rude? You're missing the "difference" in my actions in tournament fishing and fun fishing. In fun fishing...I'm giving up the spot...in tournament fishing...on a spot I've scouted...I'm not giving that spot up for someone coming down the bank. Who would? I never said I would be rude. I would still be humane and respectful...why be rude? But yes...being in a tournament DOES effect my decision making...not how I treat people.
