Great looking rig, love the layout.  You're going to love that Suzuki 140; Mine is an '06 and I love it.  Quiet, smooths, miserly on gas, gets 'er done.

I kinda always went by the book, but that’s after dealer ran it, and usually runs it wot to see if prop is correct size. Which in this case, dealer knows what prop it gets because we talked about that already. He’s sold 6 of these with the Suzuki 140A, and all ran best with Suzuki 23 pitch SS.

IMO, follow the manual.

 

They can read what you did when they plug it in at the dealership, if you don't go by the recommendation and you have a problem...opens the door to not fix under warranty.

I owned a Polarkraft back in the late 80's, early 90's.  Great boat that served me well and caught me plenty of bass.  Good Luck with yours!
