They are asking $13,995 and it has an upgrade 24 volt 82 pound trolling motor, some electronics added to it and a stereo when you are tubing and playing with the kids.  I also personally have dealt withthis dealer and they are awesome to deal with.

Next they have a boat I would  love to bring home. Look at this one. It definitely fits the bill for "Upgraded".

They are asking $24,995 and that rig is probably priced $15,000 below what a new one equipped similarly would go for. Good Luck on your search.

To bad for me, but this boat was pending and has now sold. Still looking for a 19-20 ft aluminum bass boat with upgrades for tournament fishing.  Any help is appreciated.

What was your thoughts on the Triton VT17? Was that still available?

Has anyone had issues with a modified V hull on Aluminum boats.  I was warned that they get blown around in the wind and don't handle chop well.  Is a deep V aluminum a better buy?

A heavier boat with less freeboard will get blown around less than a lighter boat with more freeboard. As far as the mod v's, some sit more level and others sit with the bow high. A higher bow will grab the wind easier than a bow that is level.

Most deep v's will have a high freeboard and, in most cases, will weigh more than the mod v hulls.

As far as one being a better buy than the other, that will depend on where and how you are fishing. A mod v won't fare well on the Great Lakes and a deep v won't fare well in 18" of marsh

I fish Savannah River lakes Keowee, Harwell, Russell and East Tennessee Lakes Douglas, Cherokee and a  few others.  Depends on the weekend but they can get crowded and weather changes by the minute so my concern is that I would be frustrated by the mod v.  On calm days with low traffic, it would be nice to take it up shallow in places.

I have been fishing out of a mod V hull (actually 2 over the last 15 years) and I have fished in places like Dale Hollow, Center Hill, Raystown Lake (PA), Lake Anna (VA). Lake Gaston (NC), Lake Marburg (PA) and many more including the Upper Chesapeake Bay, Susquehanna River and the Potomac River.  Occasionally, I fight wind and current, but most of that time that is on the tidal water. I have never seen it bother me much while fishing even the larger lakes in  TN & KY. I do run a 24 volt trolling motor and my Lowe Stinger sits pretty level.  That Triton VT series boat is very similar to my Lowe Stinger.  It should run pretty close to the same.

As for chop no I cannot scream across the Bay while it is blowing 20 mph. I have successfully fished out around Hart/Miller Island while it blew 25 mph.  I ran cautiously out to the protected side of the island and caught numerous stripeers and cats and then carefully picked my way back to the launch.

Knowing how to handle 2 foot waves and knowing my boat helps a lot. I also picked my launch site accordingly.

Heck, I fished Erie and Ontario out of my Xpress quite a bit.  There's days NO ONE should be on the water irrespective what hull they have.

I know a guy who trolls for salmon on the southern end of Lake Michigan as well as Little and Big Bay De Noc out of a 16ft Mr. Pike with a 40hp tiller. Just have to know your boats limits and your own limits as a captain. One thing I can say about the Lund, is I have never felt unsafe, even with water coming over the bow. Stupid and wet, yes. Not unsafe.

There's a ton of similar walleye rigs on Oneida at any given moment.  Little 12-14' semi-v tillers with bench seats.  That lake can be downright frightening when the wind picks up.

I will say this, My 17' Sea Nymph deep-V tiller handled water that no bass boat could.  And I can relate with @slonezp about feeling stupid and wet, but not unsafe.
