Tatula Elite 7-3 MH

Featured Replies

Hey guys, I'm thinking about getting the Brent Ehrler 7-3 MH Tatula Elite. He says it's a good all around multipurpose rod for various applications including weightless senkos, jigs, spinnerbaits, etc. And I watched a video of him using the same rod to fish a 3/4 oz jig in wood. Now to me it seems like a lot to ask one rod to throw weightless senkos and also 3/4 oz jigs. Is this rod really that versatile? Does it lean more towards the lower end or higher end of its weight rating?

BUMP. Anybody have any experience with this rod?

I have this rod & also have the Cronos 7'3 as well. Love the elite rod, very versatile. I use it mainly for swing head jigs with beavers. You will  not regret it, very light

Thanks for the info. Have you thrown weightless senkos on it? How heavy of a weight have you thrown/do you typically throw on it?

I would think that rod would be great for "weightless" Senko's which, by the way, weigh about 3/8 oz rigged.  I typically throw them on an old BPS Extreme 6'6" MH.  That's like throwing them on a broom handle.  In fact, I'm liking the looks of this rod and may grab one!

Yep, would be fine. I throw beavers on 5/8 oz swing heads with mine. Can feel good bottom contact
