  1. Congrats on the PB! Nice fatty!
  2. Thanks for the info. Have you thrown weightless senkos on it? How heavy of a weight have you thrown/do you typically throw on it?
  3. BUMP. Anybody have any experience with this rod?
  4. Hey guys, I'm thinking about getting the Brent Ehrler 7-3 MH Tatula Elite. He says it's a good all around multipurpose rod for various applications including weightless senkos, jigs, spinnerbaits, etc. And I watched a video of him using the same rod to fish a 3/4 oz jig in wood. Now to me it seems like a lot to ask one rod to throw weightless senkos and also 3/4 oz jigs. Is this rod really that versatile? Does it lean more towards the lower end or higher end of its weight rating?

  6. Dang I'd be scooping one of those Tatula SV's if they had the 8:1
  7. Thanks a lot for the info. Much appreciated!
  8. Do the portable MK chargers have a maintenance mode so I can keep the battery hooked up to it? Or do I have to disconnect the battery when storing it?
  9. Thanks, I'll check them out! Are the portable Minn Kota chargers any good? The battery won't be staying in my boat. It will go on the charger at home.
  10. What batteries are you guys buying at Walmart? Are they with the boating stuff or in automotive? Please help me before I drop $160 on a Bass Pro battery!
  11. I would go with the 705CB graphite, especially if you will be fishing lipless cranks around grass and/or fishing topwater baits. I have the 705CB in the Fury line and it's an awesome rod for the price. Light, sensitive, good action. If you can swing it go with the Champion line but not knowing whether or not you like a glass rod and dropping over $200 on one is risky IMO.
  12. Thanks everyone. Sounds like the 743 will be the right choice.
  13. I'm trying to decide between the 743 and 744. I will mostly be throwing weightless senkos and flukes so I'm thinking the 743, but I do want to be able to throw 1/4 oz Texas rigs and 3/8 oz jigs with it. That would be my max. It will be paired with a Fury 735 which will be used for 1/2 oz and up or around heavy cover.
  14. They're very light and sensitive for a rod around $100. A lot of people say they're the best rods under $150. Some say the best under $200. I don't know about that, but I've been very impressed with them and at this point would not buy any other rod under $150. The reel seat and cork are super comfortable. The balance is great. Dobyns has technique specific actions dialed. And they have the best warranty and customer service you could ask for. There are a ton of reviews for the Fury on Tackle Warehouse if you haven't looked on there yet.
  15. The 705CB crankbait rod and the two swimbait rods - 795 and 806. Gonna be adding a 735 for frogging/pitching heavy cover and maybe a 702 spinning rod as well. Best do-it-all rod in the line would be the 734.
