I'm trying to decide between the 743 and 744. I will mostly be throwing weightless senkos and flukes so I'm thinking the 743, but I do want to be able to throw 1/4 oz Texas rigs and 3/8 oz jigs with it. That would be my max. It will be paired with a Fury 735 which will be used for 1/2 oz and up or around heavy cover.

I have a DX744.... I'm not throwing weightless anything with it.  

It's pretty beefy

I fish a dx744 and it shines with 1/2 jigs. I’ll throw 3/8 occasionally with it, but wouldn’t go lighter than that. I would never try anything weightless with it though
