Just bought a Rapala Rip Stop which is a light jerkbait. Any recommendations on a rod? Thinking about a M-Mod spinning rod.

    If you ever plan on throwing a little heavier jerkbaits on this I would strongly suggest the 6’4 Ike Signature rod. Best jerkbait rod IMO.

    I use a 6' 8" M/MF spinning rod with 8lb mono for small jerkbaits like the Duo Rozante 63 and 65 pointer.

    I fish all my jerkbaits on a Dobyns Sierra 703 with 10 lb braid. I also fish a river that might get to 10 feet deep on a really deep spot and the water is moving pretty fast.
