Never tried any of the KVD frogs. They’re not really available locally, so I didn’t even think about checking them out. If you end up liking them, let me know. Can’t ever have enough frogs.

I agree with this. You ever have any durability issues like I’ve heard before about the pad crashers? I know my KVD sexy frogs have been through hell and back and still fish like new. 

+1 for pad crashers (mostly poppin)

In my experience they hold up about as long as a spro, but don't take in as much water. Managed to get a whole summer out of 1 before it finally ripped apart, and I threw it a lot. It had caught enough bass (and been assassaulted by many gar) that I wasn't surprised when it finally failed. 

Can't speak for any other brands, but I definitely prefer pad crashers over spro.

 

I have no issues hooking up with Spros. I don't fish any other brands. I do want to try the new Fred Roumbanis  and Ish Monroe frogs. 

 

My father in law swears by Kopper's Live Targets.

I haven’t had any issues yet, but I didn’t start fishing them hard until this past summer. They get scraped up (What frog wouldn’t?), but they held up fine so far. No perceptible decline in performance. 

I like the Save Gear frogs that you can pick up at Dicks. The larger popper weighs 3/4 oz so I can cast further.

 

For 5 bucks a pop or buy 2 get 1 free(I think that was deal), can't go wrong.

I will say the pad crasher is probably the best value frog on the market. Ol smokey is a great color 

My biggest problem fishing frogs is the hook up percentage.  Has anyone used Lunkerhunt Prop Frog?  It has the third hook (stinger off the back) and is still weedless.  I need a new frog that hooks them better !!

I see a lot of people struggle with this and if it’s smaller fish I get it. But most people’s problem is setting the hook too soon. Let em’ eat it for a couple seconds

Pad Crasher all the way.

Live Target. Also really like the Strike King Wobbletron for a buzzing type frog.

Pad crashers and snagproof phat frogs are my favs. High hook up percentages with both. Phat frog is heavier but add BB's to pad crashers if needed.

Also.... If you're not modifying the hooks (bend out and up) or trimming the skirts to increase hook up ratio, you may be doing to wrong.

Try a Lake Fork Tackle Frog Trailer hook; it will help your hook ups on whatever frog you use.

I will also agree with those that suggested the Booyah Pad Crasher as the best value/performing frog.
