Easy lure to make

Featured Replies

Hello I started getting into tackle making a few weeks ago and I’m not that good, and I was wondering if anyone knows any easy lure that an amateur can make. It doesn’t have to be a good fancy lure, I just want to learn how to make an easy simple lure. Anything helps, thanks

Checkout Jannsnetcraft.com! They have kits you can buy that have everything you need.

How in depth do you want to get. Are you looking to start from scratch? Or if you dont want to get to serious as it maybe sounds, making simple skirt modifications to a spinnerbait or a jig can be fun and rewarding. Not sure what you are wanting to get out of it. If you are a walleye fisherman, spinner rigs are really easy and fun. Catfish-making your own dipbait snells is pretty simple too.

Bladed jigs.  Barlowtackle.com   Their Shakee head setup shows everything you need.  Buy painted or unpainted, pick up some cheap zman skirts from bass pro and you’re all set.

With a little hardware and a wooden dowel, you can make torpedo like baits or poppers if you like to carve.

You can learn anything on YouTube. Good luck young man. I have been doing crank baits now for several years and I got started doing them because of the video I saw on YouTube
