Spool on Baitcasting reel is very wobbly

Featured Replies

I just got a new 201 curado k, and I have no complaints but I just noticed that the spool is very wobbly, like it moves side to side a lot. Is this normal on the curado k or any other Baitcasting reel?

Tighten your spool tension knob and it won't wobble. This is normal

This ^

I'm not familiar with that reel, but if tightening the spool tension doesn't eliminate the problem I'd take it back to where you purchased it and get an exchange it.  Don't mess with taking it apart and attempting to 'fix' it yourself, you may void the warranty and end up with an expensive paper weight.
