As the title states in curious what size top I need to replace my old one on my 6'10 medium casting rod. I bought a 3 pack and even the smallest one was still top big. Any info will help. 

If you can get your hands on a micrometer, measure the tip in mm and let us know what it is. Or, you can go to Mudhole.com and I believe they have a conversion chart that will tell you the tip top size.

You should be able to find one at Home Depot, Lowe's, etc. Tips are sized in 64ths of an inch, inside diameter, so simple math can get you the right size.

That would be close to 4/64".

Two of the same blank can vary in size. You need to measure or buy 2-3 sizes a Med casting rod likely has a 4 or 4.5 tip.
