I found a Huddleston lure while fishing recently. It's I great condition except that the hook is rusty.

 

Can the top hook be replaced? If so, what hook should I get and how works I install it?

Can't answer your question but thats some great luck right there finding a hud!

It cannot be replaced, but it can be sharpened.

You could cut the top hook off and butch brown rig it, or attach a hook to the ring on the bottom

Every time I BB rig it, I end up with one or two very deeply hooked or gill hooked fish.  I like the hookup ratio, and feel real confident, but it seems a little too damaging to bigger fish.

Use a wire wheel/brush, that should get the rust off, then like J Francho said, sharpen it.

I cut the hook off and Butch Brown rig them, with the 8" anyways. If the hook isn't severely rusted you could clean it up and sharpen it like was mentioned.
