good morning fellas. I recently purchased a Calcutta 200b from academy and when I unboxed it the reel was just kinda loose in the box without any packing or bubble wrap around it. is this the way that shimano packs 'em? it appeared to have all the extras like the velour bag,shimano oil and instructions. I ordered it from academy.com and the little "sealed" sticker was still intact that you have to cut to open the box.

All the Shimano reels that I ordered came packed in foam w/instructions and oil. 

it had the instructions and oil but the reel was attached,somewhat, to a paper reel "holder" of sorts but the clear circle "seal" wasn't broken or torn/cut. just wondering if I got a previous return or a true new reel is all?

Sounds like maybe a display reel. 

I’m thinking so now. When I went back and looked the included wrench was loose in the box and I was mistaken in my previous post there wasn’t any tube of Shimano oil.
