Looking for tin boat recommendations

Featured Replies

Hello from ct. looking for opinions on a 16-17’ boat for large lake fishing. Package length and width must be no more than 20’ and 84” width for garage storing. Lake gets a chop from high amount of rec boaters. Use to have a Lowe 16 mod v with 60 Johnson back in the early 90’s. Wanting to get back into fishing again.  Any suggestions based on use?

thanks

Welcome,

The 20ft X 84" kind if limits you on size. How large of waters do you fish? Are you looking for a bass boat, multi species, tiller, console?

I'm a Lund fan myself, they have several smaller size boats to pick from. Mine's a Fury XL.

Lund Fury or Alumacraft 165 Classic

I purchased a 16ft Crestliner Storm with a 50 HP Mercury this past winter. The boat is preowned, but no complaints here. Handles fairly rough water without issue and motors right along. Very agile when fishing tight areas like docks and narrow creeks. I'm happy with my tin rig.

Hello and welcome to the forum. Depending on the waters you fish you might need to consider a deep V hull from Bass Tracker. They have them 16 to 17 feet in length but i'm not sure about the width.
