cleaning solution

I'm frustrated with myself... can't get an effective search of the boards!  This info is there but I can't get at it.  What cleaning solutions do you use to clean the frames of your reels.  (I use acetone to clean the bearings and gears).  I can't get Perfect Solution in my community.

I use Dawn and a really soft bristle brush under the laundry tub faucet then rinse well.  A 50-50 mix of Simple Green and water also works.

Clear Palmolive and elbow grease.  Dawn works equally as well, I just hate how it smells.  I'm still looking for a good substitute for PS, just haven't found one yet.

I use an ultra-sonic cleaner for most parts... thanks for reminding my old brain of some good choices.

WD-40 is a good cleaning solvent, not a good lubricant and helps to prevent corrosion.  Clean the metal reel frame with 50/50 white vinegar and water, rinse and spray on the WD-40 wide off excess.

I agree with Dawn. Works good cutting through any oil or grease. And use a toothbrush w/warm water.

Warm water, a single drop of Dawn and a microfiber towel.

Water and a clean micro fiber, I also use a toothbrush, and a q-tip.

May start using a little dawn now, good tip fellas!
