Hello everyone , quick question here. Can I run my lowerance GPS on my hummingbird unit? Also want to know if I purchase a helix model that doesn't include GPS, can I add GPS at a later time?

Hello and welcome to the forum. I don't believe you can run a Lowrance and Humminbird units together. GPS capability would have to already be in the unit set up from the factory. I don't know of any way to add it in later.

Okay that's what I thought , thank you. 

You can run different mfr’s units on the same boat but can’t network them together. GPS is a built in feature along with mapping. Both Lowrance and Hummingbird have Navonics chip options for detailed lake maps.
