yesturday my lowrance x 88 just stoped reading on the graph and wont read depth , the temp still works though. could it be the transducer? i noticed before it would make a tickin noise at the transducer now its not making any sound.

Could be something as simple as a loose connection.  Try unplugging and plugging back in the transducer and power cables (being careful not to bend the pins - don't force it.).

If that doesn't work, then I'd consider replacing the transducer.

Know ticky no worky...........check plug carefully for crud and inspect cable for breaks. Did you touch any buttons, you can shut the xduser off.

If you find a crush zone I would try splicing cable, sometimes works great other times not so.
