What spinning reel would you get in the 40- 50 dollar range? I have a grandson( and fishing partner) who has a birthday soon. Size 2000 , durable, and decent quality. What would you recommend?

I bought the highest end spinning reel from that company that includes the ***- complete piece of junk, sent it back.

I’d look at the offerings from Pflueger, the Trion would be in your budget, or possibly even a president

Kastking Sharky 3 size 2000 reel will run you $51.98

 

It would be hard to find a reel with as many features as the Sharky 3 at that price.

It is my favorite spinning reel at the moment. It beat out my Pflueger Supreme for that spot.
