What make is the current reel? Deep cleaning fixes most AR issues as well as breathing life into the rest of the reel. Send it in at your convenience and I'll take care of it.

Sorry I never got back to you, just saw this.

Ended up with the bg and so far I love it. Zero issues with it and it’s very smooth, only smal complaint I could think of is its loud but that might be something else. Actually going to USF for college so I’m glad I got a saltwater reel.

Pulled out the old shimano sahara last week and cleaned all the little parts in the AR and it works now! My rod I had with it broke a while ago so I got a SLX rod so the reel better hold up. Found out why it was binding too so if it happens again there’s a fix for it.

So 3 years later do you still like the Fuego. I am looking to get one for small mouth bass and an occasional pike. I hate pike. Ghanks George

BG is bulletproof.  If you plan on using the reel in saltwater get the BG.  The BG is as good other saltwater spinning reels that cost twice as much.   If you are looking for freshwater only, then there are lighter options in the price range.
