What do I need to link 3 Helix 9's?

Featured Replies

Looking to add 3 helix 9's to my rig.  All will be mega SI with 2 in the back and one in the front.  I know I need the Ethernet hub box but what else?  I'm not sure what each one comes with.  I'm guessing I'll need 3 ethernet cords and 3 of the adapter cords as well.  Anything else?  In the future I"ll also be adding and Ipilot link Minn Kota as well.  Thanks

All you need is the hub and cables. The hub needs it's own source for power.

I hope someone told you to not buy all mega SI since it’s not needed for all 3

I believe that what the last post is referring to is the fact that when all are linked with ethernet you can select the source for each so that the two in the back (and the one in front, for that matter) can read the from the same transducer.  So they don't need separate mega transducers.  Which should save some $$.

Correct me if I'm misinterpreting.

It’s more so you don’t have to buy all three SI, just really one and then network it. The others will share the SI through the Hub.  Of course if you want the si transducer at the bow you would need at least 2 SI units but the other can just be a plain helix 9 gps

The units on which you plan to display the data from the one SI transducer have to be capable of displaying it.

9’s can share any data as long as they are from the same generation. You can’t get mega on a G1, even when networked.
