While in my Kayak or on the 1 Bank spot where i fish sometimes when i see some of the bass fry or babies i will see a few with white marks or like maybe wounds is that maybe infection or like maybe fighting other fish idk ? i have not found a single bass or any other fish either dink or bigger with these marks any ideas of what it could be ? wish i could get a pic of one so i could give a proper example

I’ve seen that, too. On other schooling fish fry like catfish when they look like tadpoles. They always say 80-90% of the hatch dies in the first year. I always assume those are part of that 80-90%.

Way more than a 90% mortality rate in most fish species, in the wild.  That's why there are hundreds per spawn.

Wait, so that means that as they get older and bigger there are fewer of them? Could this be why we catch fewer of them? No that's just silly talk, they must get smarter (with all that schooling)...
