Does this spinning reel exist

Worm drive, with an aluminum frame AND side plate, and a quality gear set?

Worm drive

Not in like 20 years.  My father has a true worm drive D.A.M. Quick reel from the late 70s.  Most modern spinning reels use a crown and pinion.

There are some high end reels that use a small worm drive for the oscillation, but I don't know of any modern reels that use a true worm drive for the spinning rotor mechanics.

I was speaking just to the oscillation mechanism.

Does this spinning reel exist?

I was out galloping on my unicorn and saw a big foot fishing with one.

Look at Shimano's stradic and up. They call their metal body Hagane. Some of the lower models may use a worm gear too but I'd have to ck schematics

I had an FK 3000 that I sold because it devopled handle play that I could not get rid of.

Really liking the Daiwa Back Bay 3000 but I have a Luvias 2500 that has a tick when reeling in under preasure.

That's why I am trying to find a reel with aluminum body and side plate (Stradic has a graphite side plate) and worm gear ocsilation.

You're in Sustain territory.

I will say I have three OG CI4 Stradics, and literally caught 100's of bass on each, and 100's more salmon and steelhead on one.  Not a single issue with any of them.  I did upgrade to Carbontex drag washers.

I was thinking about a 2500 FI.

You sure do like spinning reels @PatrickKnight

95% of my fishing is done with spinners! I just feel more comfortable with them than I do casting gear.
