Aluminum stripper

Featured Replies

I remember muddy had a thread about doing his boat over and there were some suggestions for a stripper.

We are doing as 1236 alum jon that has that green primer/paint on it so nothing too strong is necessary.  Preferably something that washes off with a quick water rinse or worse case,a solvent wash.

Any help?

Catt, where do we get it and how much will we need for a 12' jon?

At Home Depot you can pick up some kleen strip ks-3 premium stripper for around $20 a gallon.  I used it on my boat and it worked good on the multiple layers of paint.  you will probably need 2-3 quarts of it so you will have enough to do the trailer also.

Thanks LBH!

You read my mind!  I planning to remove the camo paint off my little Jon.

Well someone removed it from their web site; they listed where to find it, @#%& now I gotta do more research.

We got paint stores down here in the south that sale industrial products; what's great about Eldorado Solutions' it's environmentally safe.

Don't go nuts Catt,  Home depot or Lowes should have something that will work.  I need to buy it today so mail order is out.
