Shimano Stella Parts

Featured Replies

Hey all, I have an older Stella 2500 FD (2007) that's is in perfect working and physical condition. Only issue is the handle knob is rubber and it's breaking down. I remember years back I had stradic 2500/3000's that had same knobs that needed to be replaced as well. I called Shimano and these parts are discontinued, so my option was eBay. I found a knob from a 3000 size Stella that seller says will fit several models. I kinda have no other options at this point, anyone know if this knob will fit? Looks like it will?...

Joey, getting parts for older Shimano's is a nationwide problem.

Just like Lowrance: they stop supporting their older models that got them to where they are today to try to sell you on their new models at higher costs.

I suggest you note what Delaware Tackle penned above. They have forgotten more about rods and reels then most of us know.

Good luck.

Mine did this too and I put one of those little rubber grips like you put on your level winds to make the handle bigger.  Works ok...They come in different colors and such....

I was able to find a 3000 size knob on eBay for $30. I actually don't mind the 3000 knob.  From the looks of it, its a direct replacement. I am very disappointed in Shimano for not offering parts for this very expensive reel. The sad thing is I have taken very good care of it over the years and it could almost pass for new. Now I know replacement parts are next to impossible to find I'm gonna use her hard now.  Kinda not fair, $600 (in 2007) and no replacement parts.

Thanks for the info
