Is a 1/4 ounce kastmaster too big to catch stocked trout?

Featured Replies

I’m gonna go fishing at a local stocked pond and the only kastmaster size I have is 1/4 ounce. I’m asking this because I know everyone pretty much uses the 1/8 ounce size and they say it’s the best size.

They actually prefer the 1/4oz in one of the lakes I fish for stocked trout, especially the larger fish.

The 1/4 Oz Kastmaster is a staple in my trout fishing arsenal. Sometimes they like to feed in the very middle of a pond and the casting distance of a 1/4 compared to an 1/8 is just the ticket you need
